Eire Total Access provide ongoing shutdown support to Newmont’s Boddington Gold OHP in WA’s Southwest.
Constantly expanding capabilities, Eire Total Access execute a broad range of works on and off the critical path for each shutdown.
Eire Total Access continue to safely execute a wide variety of works on Boddington from full bin re-lines to structural remediation and disassembly/re-assembly of critical structure such as take-up towers and transfer stations through a blended scaffolding and rope access approach. Implementing our continuous improvement and lessons learnt model, Eire Total Access have continued to develop capability and efficiency for Newmont, completing works safely in decreasing time periods.

Mineral Resources engaged Eire Total Access to initially execute all scaffolding works required to construct their export wharf located in Onslow, Western Australia. The scope of work quickly grew into a plant-wide role including the procurement of Rope Access services from Eire Total Access.
This scope presented a complex, challenging and technical environment with a large majority of factors affecting how the project was executed with a combination of technically complex scaffold requirements, working over water, allowances for future installed infrastructure and harsh working environments.
Eire Total Access completed these works with no safety incidents or injuries. Full project services were procured by Mineral Resources including, Rope Access personnel and equipment, Scaffolding personnel and equipment, sundry equipment, vehicles, project management and engineering.

Eire Total Access was engaged by PARC Engineering to perform access work involving both Scaffold and Rope Access throughout the entire plant for the construction of Trains 1 and 2, including the hydromet area, pyromet area, pipe racks, and acid plant. Given the complex nature of lithium processing plants, we had to carefully design and execute bespoke solutions tailored to the site conditions.
Drawing on our industry experience, we approached the scaffold work with the goal of minimizing the need for rebuilds and modifications. Consequently, we constructed large tube and fitting scaffolds across the plant that could be used by multiple contractors. This resulted in efficient scaffolding usage and reduced the need for rebuilds required by other contractors or trades.
Eire Total Access’ Rope Access teams were tasked with multiple work scopes, including lightning protection, pipefitting, rigging, and steel erection.

The Redbank Bridge project presented significant challenges as it involved providing scaffolding access to the underside of the bridge. This was necessary for blasting and painting all structural components, as well as for conducting cathodic protection on the bridge piers. Since this bridge serves as the main route in and out of Port Hedland, it was crucial that Eire Total Access did not disrupt traffic on the bridge itself. Additionally, the bridge spans an access road for Dampier Salt and multiple active railway lines operated by BHP and FMG, all of which needed to remain operational. As a result, Eire Total Access had very limited workspace available.
This project was completed without any incidents or injuries. Significant planning and engineering were necessary to successfully execute the work, given the loads imposed on the bridge, the need to accommodate live rail services, the requirement for encapsulation during blasting, and the cyclone sensitivity of the area.
